Krakow Fortress Receives Second Award
On 26 October 2023, during the Tourism Forum held at the Krzysztofory Palace, companies and institutions were awarded in the “Odyssey” competition. The „Złoty Odys Kapituły” (“Golden Odyssey of the Jury”), the most important award in the competition, went to the Municipality of Krakow.
The aim of the competition, held since 1995, is to promote the highest quality products and offers from the Małopolska region. The submitted entries are evaluated by a jury appointed by the organiser – the Krakow Chamber of Tourism – which includes representatives of economic and territorial self-governments, universities, media and tourism industry experts.
During this year’s deliberations of the jury, the highest distinction – the “Golden Odyssey of the Jury”– was unanimously awarded to the Krakow Fortress tourism product. Jury members recognised it for the innovative approach to the city’s heritage, its general accessibility for residents and tourists, and the involvement of a large group of partners – including the current administrators of the former Fortress facilities.
This is the second award for Fortress Krakow this year, following the “Tourism Product of the Year 2023” award from ForumBiznesu in September.
